About This Activity

Description

Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that strengthens and tones muscles in the body without bulking them up. Using a floor mat and small props, this class focuses on basic Pilates principles; core strength, increased flexibility, breath control and correct alignment. The blend of strength and flexibility training helps to improve posture, reduce stress and create long, lean muscles. An emphasis on abdominal core strength creates muscular support for the spine and can help reduce back pain. Simple and clean instructions make this class accessible to both beginners that haven't exercised in years or people who exercise regularly.
