This class is designed for children who have never experienced water or are apprehensive. This is a progressive skills class and may have to be repeated before students acquire all the skills. Students will develop positive attitudes and safe practices in and around water while progressing with basic swimming skills. Students will begin with arm and leg actions and learning to float unsupported on front and back. They'll progress to coordination of front and back crawl strokes, learn to coordinate breathing with the front crawl, and will be introduced to deep water.
