In this fun and engaging class, students will learn the foundations of computer programming using easy, drag-and-drop coding blocks to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations. Through guided lessons and playful challenges, students will develop logical thinking, problem-solving, and design skills as they transform ideas into digital creations—building confidence and curiosity with every project! Weekly Learning Adventures: • Week 1 – Introduction to Computer Programming: Learn what coding is and how computers follow instructions. • Weeks 2 & 3 – Sequencing: Discover how the order of commands matters while building fun animations and stories. • Week 4 – Debugging: Become a “code detective” and learn how to find and fix errors in your programs. • Weeks 5 & 6 – Loops: Simplify your code by making actions repeat with loop commands. • Week 7 – Coordinates & Random Numbers: Explore math in motion—positioning sprites and adding unpredictability to games. • Week 8 – Variables & Scoring: Add scores, timers, and more to make your projects interactive and exciting. • Week 9 – Mini Project: Combine everything you’ve learned to design your own game or animation!
