10 sessions x 60 minutes Tuesday - March 18, 25 | April 1, 15, 22, 29 | May 6, 13, 20, 27 Help your student build confidence through a unique combination of writing, speaking, and improv. Confidence supports resilience, social skills, and motivation to take on challenges such as learning new skills and developing as a leader. This course offers students a safe space to develop trust in themselves and their abilities while fostering self-expression as well as connection with others. Whether your student is on the timid or more vocal side, this course is designed to encourage students and give them the skills and confidence to speak courageously and express themselves in effective, impactful ways. Students will get to experience a new theme each week, with topics varying from 'What if Animals Could Talk?' to 'Your Ideal Day' to 'New Rules for School' and beyond. Through writing, partner/small group, and large group improv games we will focus on skills such as Body Language, Crafting Narratives, Active Listening, and Interpersonal Connection. The course will culminate in a showcase on the final day of class. Loud and Proud will enable your students to: ● Build confidence, improve listening skills, and use body language effectively. ● Enhance teamwork, problem-solving, and risk-taking through self-expression in a supportive environment. ● Tap into their creativity to craft storylines on the spot and connect more easily with others. Note: We love to keep parents updated on the class progress. We have established three key communication points: a teacher introduction to start the semester, a midpoint update featuring progress and activity photos, and a final email summarizing the semester’s achievements.
