PEO's Winter Break Day Camp gives children in grades K-8 three days to explore and play outside. In addition to snowshoeing and learning winter survival skills, like building a snow shelter or lighting a winter fire, you'll get to meet PEO's kennel of friendly Alaskan husky sled dogs and go dog sledding as well as learn to harness and drive the draft horses on a sleigh ride. Campers should plan to spend most of the time at camp outdoors, but a heated indoor classroom space is available. Meet at Marshall School parking lot, 1215 Rice Lake Road for van pickup to PEO's site, 15 miles north of Duluth at 8:30 am each day. Campers will be dropped off at 4:30 pm each afternoon at Marshall School. A complete list of required winter clothing items is provided upon registration. Campers should bring their own lunch each day. PEO will provide hot drinks.
