This camp is all about knowing what creatures and critters live in our neighborhoods. What are they doing? How can we help them live peacefully in the wild? Our week will be filled with up-close encounters, hands-on discovery, games, stories, little-known facts, and perplexing mysteries. The wonder of life science will be our central theme and we will wield all of the tools of modern naturalists so we can explore everything we see. This program allows for drop-off between 8:00 – 9:00 AM. Pick-up is from 2:45- 3:00 PM with the option to add aftercare for pick-up until 5:30 PM. CITs (Counselors in Training) are required to attend Outdoor Leadership camp (offered in Summer). Please call our office (919-489-0900) before registering if your child has not attended Outdoor Leadership camp, but is interested in becoming a CIT. CIT Level II, please email camp@piedmontwildlifecenter.org with the camp(s) you are interested in them attending. Our staff will be happy to confirm their level and fill out their registration without the need to pay tuition. CITs are expected to be at camp from 8:30 - 3:00 PM.
