This program is free of charge, and a special opportunity for 3-5th grade girls in the Easton area. Our mission is to mentor and educate young women in both physical and mental well-being, while introducing fundamental volleyball skills. We invite local 3-5th grade girls to campus for a 2-hour weekly session with the team. The first hour is a workshop where we discuss physical and mental well-being topics such as self-confidence, nutrition and peer pressure. Our guest speakers, historically, are women of influence on and around our campus. The second hour we head into the gym and begin introducing the girls to the fundamentals of volleyball. We hope to teach the importance of being active and working with a team while promoting an interest in volleyball at a younger age. My team is present for each session in a role-model/mentor capacity. Schedule: Every Sunday beginning March 2nd through April 13th from 12pm – 2pm in the Ames Sports Complex (*location change from last year).
