If a child soes not attend a minimum of 2 evaluations then he/she will be assigned to a D-5 team unless an opening exists at a higher level due to actual enrollment.
All are required to be wearing soccer cleats and shin guards. registration deadline August 28th
NO Evaluations for the Recreational Level Players for grade 5,6,7,8, Boys and Girls.
Please note, to comply with US Soccer and Connecticut Junior Soccer regulations, the Town of Ellington is required to make some additional changes in the proposed FALL programming:
1) Ellington will be switching to a calendar-age team placement rather than an August 1 through July 31 year. This will allow players of the same age to compete together, regardless of grade.
2) Ellington will continue to follow the same format for eligibility, please review the evaluation dates/time frames and identify the appropriate sessions that your child would be eligible to attend:
3) Example:U8-9-10: together; U11-12: together; U13-14-15: together
Teams will be formed based on the ratings? submitted by the independent evaluators. Adjustments to smaller field sizes (U10 and U12) are still under consideration.
All soccer participants Must be Pre-registered prior to attending evaluation clinics on September 7TH. Children are required to wear shin guards and proper foot attire. Parent Volunteers are needed to help with Coaching the program Please contact the Recreation Department 870-3118.
