T-Ball: Players in this division are typically league ages 4-5 and some 6 year olds that have never played before. If your child is 5 and played T-Ball last season, we suggest they play Rookies.
This division provides an introduction to baseball. Batting is off a tee and the entire lineup bats each inning. Defensive team will field all players. Play is on a smaller field with a RIF (reduced injury factor) baseball utilized. Games are limited to 3 innings or 1 hour and 15 minutes. No game scores or standings are kept.
In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching.
The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork.
Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this introduction level of Little League. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check, parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, local league board members and other volunteer positions within the league.
