About This Activity

Description

This program is closed to further registration.

"The Beginning: Becoming Tuneful, Beatful and Artful" - First Steps in Music curriculum, created by music & movement development specialist John Feierabend, is an excellent program that allows young children to experience and explore music through singing, moving and playing. Children will learn stories that develop singing and simple dance skills, build basic beat skills through chants and games, and explore Classical music through movement. Help your child master developmentally appropriate music skills while learning to build community with peers through music! Note: A parent is NOT required to - in fact, encouraged not to - join in this class. Content changes each semester allowing children to re-enroll and learn new things each week.

  • Use parent email and cell phone when registering!
  • Add potomac@gmu.edu to your email contact list in order to receive important information before the class starts. Email is our primary method of communication to enrolled students.
