About This Activity

Description

This program is closed to further registration.

This class is for students ages 4 - 8 who are currently enrolled in weekly private violin lessons. Students who are in the Suzuki Book 1 will be the best fit for this class. Students will learn finger and bow exercises to improve their technique, strengthen their music theory skills, and play rhythm and ear-training games in a fun group setting. They will play review pieces from the Suzuki method as well as other pieces in two-part harmony. Special emphasis will be placed on blending sounds, matching bow strokes, and breathing together to create a cohesive ensemble. Students will have ?solo time? each class, which gives them the opportunity to practice performing in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Students and parents also enjoy peer support and forming friendships within the violin community at Potomac Arts Academy.
