Director: Craig Newberger Explore a variety of natural communities including forests, fields, streams, ponds, and wetlands. Some of the places we will visit include the Preserve at GA, Fort Washington State Park, Briar Bush Nature Center, the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association, Gwynedd Wildlife Preserve, and the Wissahickon Gorge. The focus will be on observing wildlife, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and insects. There will be a special emphasis on signs of fall and fall migration. We will have a Saturday evening session in November to observe an owl-banding research project.
