Join us for a week of learning and practicing important wilderness survival skills! We will focus on debris and tarp shelters, knot tying and navigation/orienteering, and bow making and archery. Kids will be able to work on constructing various types of shelters with support and demonstrations from Guides, practicing using different types of knots to secure them and learning knife and tool skills along the way. We will also have fun exploring the land, learning and implementing navigation through the use of compasses, maps and various signs in nature games and fun through games and challenges. All levels welcome. Note there will be some knife and saw use as part of skills practice. This week will include an overnight campout on Wednesday with pickup at 2:45 pm on Thursday. More details and a gear list will be provided at a later date. Note: Participants should be 8 years old by August 31 in order to participate in this program.
