About This Activity
Description
Hey aspiring chefs, are you ready to dive into the world of Italian cuisine? Students will learn to make mouthwatering spaghetti, meatballs, and tomato sauce. In this hands-on class, participants will master the art of making tender and flavorful meatballs, cook up a rich and savory tomato sauce, and perfectly cook spaghetti to "al dente" perfection. Along the way, students will learn essential cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen safety tips.
Chef Mai is the Executive Chef, and Founder of Say Grace Children’s Culinary Academy. Say Grace Academy is a virtual culinary school for children ages 11-14 who love to cook. Mai nurtures your child's inner chef by providing fun cooking lessons, kitchen foundation, and life skills.
In Let's Cook@Casey Jr. classes students will cook and create together, learning valuable skills like measuring ingredients, following recipes, and kitchen safety.
This is an in-person hands-on class. Participants will work with the chef instructor in our kitchen to prepare the recipes listed in the class description. Everyone will then get to enjoy these recipes together.
For your safety we ask that all students wear closed toe non-slip shoes.
No refunds will be granted for Let’s Cook@Casey programs. A one-time registration transfer is available to a Let’s Cook@Casey class of equal value if the exchange request is submitted in writing to LetsCook@gaithersburgmd.gov no less than 48 hours before the scheduled program time.
