Description
In Ballet I, emphasis is placed on technique, and students learn exercises at the barre. Students focus on center work and stretching as they progress in strength and musicality. Contemporary fuses various dance styles from funk to ballet. After basic jazz and modern-style warm-up exercises, students learn to express their creative selves while concentrating on having fun and building strength, rhythm, and lyricism.This class participates in Darlington's Spring Dance Recital, held offsite in June 2025. Upon registration each student will be charged a $90 dance recital fee. This fee includes the cost of the dance recital costume and up to six recital tickets. Additional tickets can be prepaid closer to the dance recital date. Recital costumes will be selected by teachers and shared with parents.
If Darlington is forced to close due to PA State Mandate, classes will continue online to ensure the continuity of arts enrichment.
