Child and Babysitter Safety
Be a safe and successful babysitter!Whether you are entering the wonderful world of child-care for the first time, or just interested in refreshing your safe care-giving skills, this Child and Babysitter Safety program will leave you, confident, knowledgeable, and credibly and officially certified, as an active agent and advocate for ultimate Child and Babysitter Safety.
This Saturday course, appropriate for ages 11 years and above, will take about 6 hours to complete. Students may pack a light lunch or bring some snacks or refreshments if they wish. Students will receive training from an experienced, licensed emergency-response professional. Learn priceless critical life-saving skills such as how to respond to someone choking, when and how to administer CPR, First Aid, and essential safety and emergency practices; classroom training will utilize both text book materials, and interactive experience training with manikins to imitate real-life scenarios for valuable safety and survival skills. At the end of the course, students will take a final exam to demonstrate learning, and acquire a certification card.Child and Baby Sitter Safety programs are brought to you by Mid-Atlantic Emergency and Safety Consultants, LLC. Classes are instructed by Dave Donohue, MA, CEM, MEP, EMT-P.
Classes will be held at Antietam Fire Company, located at 790 Potomac Ave. in Hagerstown, Maryland.
