Dancers at Ballet III level and above may be eligible for pointe work based on interest, strength, and body structure. Other considerations are stage of maturity, weight, age (minimum of 11), and Director evaluation. Pointe work is an extension of the skills and techniques learned in classical ballet. Students chosen to participate begin with Pre-Pointe for one year and then are evaluated for Pointe class.
Students who are enrolled September through May, may participate in the annual recital in May, be eligible for TTP Performance Companies, and be candidates for NHSDA (National Honors Society for Dance Arts). Students must be in Academy I classes only in order to be eligible for NSHDA.
Pre-requisites: TTP's Pre-Pointe, Ballet III or approval from Director.
New to our program? New students to TTP Academy can be evaluated prior to the start of the session. Contact email@example.com for an appointment.
