About This Activity
Description
¡Hablamos Español! Join us for a bilingual restoration day at Rush Creek with Stewardship Ecologist Gilberto Hernandez and Restoration Ecologist Fernando Hernandez!
As always, be prepared to be outside with long pants, sturdy boots and bug spray. The steward will notify you of any specific parking instructions or cancellations due to weather.
All ages 6+ are welcome. Any volunteers ages 6-13 should come with a parent/guardian, and ages 14-17 may attend with a permission slip if their parent/guardian is not attending. The below minimum adult to youth ratio must be followed:
- For ages 6-13, there must be at least 1 adult per 5 youth. A parent or guardian must be present if a child is attending without a group.
- For ages 14 and older, there must be at least 1 adult per 10 youth.
Students fulfilling requirements and groups of five or more must register at least 1 week in advance.
For corporate or business groups, please contact Shawna Flavell at 815-678-4532 ext. 8204.
All activities are outdoors and off trail. Wear closed toe shoes, socks, long pants and long sleeved shirt. Dress for the weather and outdoor activities. Bring drinking water and heavy gloves (if you own them), sunscreen/insect repellent when needed.
