Have you ever wondered… ♣ How a college golfer stays sharp at a cold-weather school in the off-season? ♣ What a typical practice day looks like when there is snow on the ground? ♣ What meaningful practice plans look like when using an indoor facility? Attend 2016 Coach Mueller’s Lions Golf Camp at Saint Andrew’s and find out! This special one–day camp is designed for the junior golfers interested in playing on the collegiate level and considering cold-weather schools. Campers will experience a day-in-the-life of a college golfer’s typical off-season practice using an indoor facility at the Home of the Lions – The Saint Andrew’s Golf Club in Hastings-on-the-Hudson, NY. The fall 2016 Coach Mueller’s Lions Golf Camp is unique because it teaches best practices when weather conditions are not ideal: specifically, how to be successful in college golf while using indoor and non-traditional facilities. Instruction will prepare young men for college golf in colder climates by addressing how to best use indoor and non-traditional facilities. Students will receive individual putting instruction, personalized launch monitor data, shot dispersion data and general feedback from the coaching staff. Player Improvement Discussions will cover rules, nutrition, physical fitness and sports psychology and Strokes Gained. Campers will also learn how to formulate their own practice plans to make indoor and non-traditional practice meaningful. College Preparation will address the recruiting process including basic NCAA Rules, written correspondence, important dates, and deadlines for standardized testing. In addition to the “Finding the Right Program” quiz and analysis, we will cover other topics like study skills, time management and stress management. Competition will help them assess strengths and weaknesses, students will participate in a series of skills challenges across all the facilities. Coaches will be interacting with players during the instruction and competition.
