About This Activity

Description

We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Sunday, November 20, 2016.

Taught by Bette Schieber, from Etiquette and Social Graces, children learn that practicing good manners should be a way of life. Poise and self-confidence help young people feel good about themselves. By learning the guidelines of contemporary manners and traditional etiquette, children learn the skills to navigate at home, at school, and socially with ease and confidence. Mrs. Schieber is trained by the Emily Post Institute and by Sue Fox, author of Etiquette for Dummies and Business Etiquette for Dummies.

This 90 minute interactive workshop introduces young children to the guidelines of etiquette for Holiday social, dining, and gift giving situations. Every day manners including introductions, greetings and proper titles, the well mannered conversation, dressing for social occasions, gift giving and receiving, and attending holiday parties will be discussed. A snack is served as participants practice their new etiquette skills. Participants receive a review handbook at the conclusion of the workshop.
