What's Included

PROGRAMMING/SCRATCH (Beginner): Grades 2nd-4th – 3-4pm –Alpha Minds Academy– ($235), 12 students Introduce your child to Programming through Scratch, a tool designed by MIT to teach coding to elementary and middle school students. Scratch allows students to learn real programming concepts by creating applications and interactive adventures with stackable code blocks! Students will master the intuitive user interface of Scratch and learn the functions of the most important blocks, which beneath their friendly appearance represent important computer programming functions. This course relies on a series of fun-filled projects. For example, your student may use Scratch to animate a character, tell a story, write a song, or even design a simple video game.

About This Organizer

HoLa uses Two-Way Immersion (90-10 approach) to provide a traditional core curriculum through instruction in both Spanish and English, with a range of opportunities for creative expression and experiential learning. Teachers in immersion classrooms utilize a variety of innovative strategies to facilitate comprehension and communication, integrate linguistic and academic content within a single lesson, and differentiate instruction.
