Camp Acoma Adventure revs up the camp fun for the older camper. Daily activities emphasize positive risk taking, team building and Acoma traditions such as visual arts, athletics, daily swimming and ice skating (dates on Hopkins campus only). Weekly field trips emphasize adventure! Camp Acoma is led by Blake faculty and counselors who are caring role models with unique talents. Our counselor-to-student ratio is below 1:8. Swimming is led by Red Cross certified lifeguards and instructors, and campers will improve their stroke proficiency while learning new strokes and/or how to compete in swimming. New or reluctant swimmers will be guided gently in water adjustment and learn-to-swim exercises. Each session offers hours of swimming lessons and water-based activities. Please pack a nut-free lunch, afternoon snack and water bottle for your child each day. Refrigerators and microwaves are not available. No camp Monday, July 4.
