About This Activity

Is there a best strategy for playing Rock-Paper-Scissors or Deal or No Deal? Can humans be truly random? We will investigate questions like these from economic, political, biological, diplomatic and psychological angles. In addition, we will solve a number of classic problems including the Prisoner’s Dilemma, the Monte Hall problem and the birthday problem. Mathematics topics include algebra, probability and combinatorics. Blake Middle School math teacher Dr. Chris Stapel teaches Game Theory Mathematics.
