Does your student’s backpack look like a notebook exploded in it? Do they lose track of assignments and materials? Does it take longer than expected to complete homework? This short course will provide students with the organizational tools and mindset needed to manage a busy middle school workload. We’ll explore how the brain learns, specific learning styles, and ways to measure learning. Through discussion, games and hands-on exercises participants will practice brain-based learning strategies and organizational techniques, learn how to avoid distractions, prioritize and focus on their work. We will use positive reinforcement and laughter throughout. After all, studies show that laughter helps you learn!
