Join Blake cross country coaches Jason Shantz and John Shelp who are the current section 4A Head and Assistant Coaches of the Year and Blake strength and conditioning coach Isaac Anderson for summer cross country running programs. This crew has a combined coaching experience of more than 40 years. Blake’s coaches will offer biweekly summer workouts as well as a weeklong cross country camp. Campers can sign up to participate in summer workouts, cross country camp or both. These programs will provide a fun, challenging and engaging approach to training. A cumulative stress approach takes into account the combination of run, technique, strength, psychology and cross training as total “volume” of training. This approach has proven to provide high performance and a low incidence of injury. Although we take run training very seriously we will keep things fun with running-based games, healthy/fun snack choices and good times!
