This is the class you need to take if you want to get into on-camera acting! With all the new films, television shows, and commercials coming in to Boston, you’d better be comfortable in front of the camera. Through improv exercises, script work, and mock auditions, students will learn all that goes into being an actor, from character creation to scene study and beyond. Students will learn script analysis, character relationships and development, as well as vital ‘insider’ skills to working in front of the camera. As an actor, it is important to understand everyone’s role on a film set, so you will also get the chance to play director and casting associate during a mock audition. Students will also learn proper audition etiquette, how to approach cold readings, how to market themselves as actors, and how to give multiple deliveries for various scripts. Instructor Chris Neville This class if for students in grade 4-8 No class February 20.
