This is where the foundations and continuations of belly dancing and a healthy posture are taught. The classes focus on developing flexibility and learning how to move the parts of the body which are often ignored in day to day living. This level introduces a warm up, variety of body isolations and skills including hip and arm movements, shimmies and steps. Music and rhythms of belly dance will be introduced. Group improvisation plus if time permits a specific choreography will be taught. No special clothing or shoes needed. It's recommended to bring some kind of hip scarf.
