This test prep workshop for rising 8th grade students will work on test-taking strategies and review the five sections on the High School Placement Text (HSPT). On day one, students will take a practice assessment modeled after the HSPT to highlight specific areas that the student needs to work on. During the remainder of the weeklong workshop, students will review all of the sections of the HSPT test - Verbal Skills, Math, Reading, Language, and Quantitative Skills. Some of the areas that will be emphasized during the course are time management, problem solving strategies, and content learning.
