About This Activity

Description

This activity is closed to further registration.

(Ages 4-7, with an accompanying adult, adult does not pay fee) This playful class introduces young students to the fun of forming chords and strumming guitar repertoire is drawn from traditional children?s songs, American folk, early rock n? roll, and some original children songs by the instructor. Deb has developed this course over several years, and created a special song book which is included in the course fee. Students will need a six string guitar (any style, but nylon strings are easier on young fingers). The guitar should be an appropriate size for student ? ¼ or ½ size is usually good. If an electric guitar is brought, the student will need their own amplifier. Please feel free to contact the instructor if you have questions about purchasing a guitar. Deborah-singer@uiowa.edu
