What a great opportunity to teach about my very favorite Holiday! We have never taught about it because we are usually in between sessions but we cannot wait to put together something really meaningful and fun. Did you know that more countries than just the United States celebrate Thanksgiving? From Canada to Europe, about 11 countries celebrate their own version of Thanksgiving (Canada, Liberia, Saint Lucia among them), at different times of the year. Thanksgiving celebrations have different meanings and origins but they are all celebrations of gratitude. Give thanks or dar las gracias is our most favorite thing to do! Do you know how they do it? Do you know about what activities families and kids do as they celebrate? If not, bring your kids to us this week and they’ll learn these topics and many more in an easy way. We’ll also sing songs, play games, learn new vocabulary, do crafts and have lots of fun as we learn (and eat) together! Destination: California
