About This Activity
Spend a full day immersed in coding, robotics, and environmental science at our Minecraft Bee Coders & LEGO Coding & Robotics Lab Camp! In the morning, campers will dive into Minecraft Education, using block-based coding to create automated pollinator paths and interactive bee habitats while learning about the vital role bees play in our ecosystem. They'll develop coding, problem-solving, and design skills, all while fostering environmental awareness. In the afternoon, campers will explore LEGO Robotics, building and programming their own robots while applying mechanical engineering principles like gears, pulleys, and axles. They'll also learn to code using block-based programming to bring their creations to life. With an emphasis on creativity, practical skills, and teamwork, this full-day camp is perfect for future innovators, engineers, and problem-solvers. Multiple teachers will be at each club to ensure that students are grouped by age and ability, allowing materials to be presented in a way that is developmentally appropriate. Older and more advanced learners will be challenged with more complex topics and projects tailored to their skill level. Parents are responsible for packing a lunch for students to enjoy during the break between sessions. And parents will receive updates via ClassDojo on the projects and lessons learned each day.
