Join us for the 2016 Pest Management Update Meeting where UW-Extension agents will present the latest information on weed, insect, and disease management and biology in Wisconsin field crops. The format of the meeting has changed for 2016.The focus of the first two hours has been changed to present more emphasis on research updates and important highlights from the 2016 field season. The second session will be an interactive diagnostic troubleshooting exercise based on issues observed in the 2016 field season. The diagnostic and focused-topic trainings have been a big hit over the past two years, so don’t miss 2016! Pre-registration is required. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Registration deadline is Monday, November 7. Check-in Begins: 11:30 am Lunch: 12:00 pm Meeting: 1:00 – 4:00 pm Featured Speakers: Bryan Jensen UW-Madison/Extension Entomologist Dan Heider UW Integrated Pest and Crop Management Program Outreach Specialist Damon Smith UW-Madison/Extension Field Crop Plant Pathologist Mark Renz UW-Madison/Extension Weed Scientist CEUs: The meeting counts towards three hours of CEU credits in pest management for certified crop advisors In addition to a new format, a packet of information will be supplied to all registered participants. The packet will include handouts and a copy of the “2017 Pest Management in Wisconsin Field Crops (A3646) Guide.” In addition to the above handouts each packet will include one copy of “A Farmer’s Guide to Soybean Diseases” and “A Farmer’s Guide to Corn Diseases” This two volume set is a $60.00 value!
