We get a lot of requests to extend our farm programming to a younger age, and here it is! Parents and their young children will spend three mornings on the farm, enjoying everything that Inspired on the Farm camps offer, just geared to a younger age. We will meet and learn how to interact gently with the farm animals, explore the woods, fields and gardens, enjoy music and stories during circle time, and make some awesome art projects together! Examples of projects include making sun catchers and other mixed media art, picking flower bouquets, and imaginative, nature-based play time. According to naturalist Rachel Carson, one of our most important roles as adults is to awaken in young children a sense of beauty, excitement, and wonder about nature. We think it's never too young to start! All programming is led by Ana Skemp, M.S. Ecology, owner of Deep Roots Community Farm and Jeni Blake, artist and owner of Inspired. Children will be asked to bring a healthy lunch and water bottle with them.
