Come and discover how to create your own play! In this class, students explore the basics of creative writing to develop scenes and/or a brief one act play. Students learn tips to overcome writer's block, how to outline a story and dialogue writing techniques. Activities include collaborations, improvisational exploration and creating both adaptations and imaginative original plays.
New students to the Beck should contact the Associate Director of Theater Education (216-521-2540) to determine which courses would be appropriate for their skill level.
Parents are required to attend a 30-minute orientation session in the Main Stage theater on the first day of classes. This orientation will introduce parents and students to the teaching staff, let parents and students know about the program's expectations, and provide information about special events throughout the semester.
