Description

FOR: Boys and Girls, Ages 5-6 & 7-8

FEE: $45-Includes team t-shirt, 6 or 7 games and certificate of participation.

REGISTRATION: August 1st - September 16th or when we fill whichever comes first. Online @www.piercecountywa.org/parks or at the Lakewood Community Center.Coaches will contact players after September 22nd with their team assignment. Space is limited to the first 220 children. Please keep in mind we are a volunteer based program and we rely on and greatly appreciate any and all help you can provide by volunteering in our program.


LEAGUE PURPOSE: To provide each participant with an enjoyable, safe and positive experience while learning respect, sportsmanship and the basics of outdoor soccer. There are no try-outs; everyone plays regardless of ability. This is strictly a recreational program. There are no league championships and no win-loss records will be kept. Boys and girls will play on the same team.


PRACTICES: Practices will be scheduled on weeknights beginning the week of October 3rd. Practices will be held at Sprinker Recreation Center .


GAMES: All games will be played on the fields at Sprinker Recreation Center starting the week of October 8th and end no later than November 19th. All games will begin after 9am.


EQUIPMENT: Pierce County Parks and Recreation will supply balls, cones and soccer goals at Sprinker Recreation Center. Each participant should supply their own shin guards and cleats.


COACHES: Parents that are interested in coaching may obtain coaching paperwork online on our website at www.piercecountywa.org/parks.


MANDATORY COACHES MEETING: Thursday September 22nd 5:30 pm at the Lakewood Community Center.
