Course Description: Chemistry Chaos allows students to experience chemistry differently. Students will be able to use chemicals while learning about the science behind reactions, properties, composition, and structure of elements and compounds. In this program, students will have the opportunity to experiment and learn about DNA and how to extract it from fruits and vegetables, learn about slime and the different materials that can be used to create it, and how they react to each other. In the lava lamp class students learn about density, volume, and mass, and create a lava lamp that will show them what it was like to have one during the 70s. One big emphasis in this program is safety, which will be addressed in every lesson and is a big part of being a chemist.
