About This Activity
These classes are only available for kids in the PS 3 & 4 Classes. Students will explore the fundamentals of movement and musicality, with an emphasis on starting to learn the basics of movement with music. Each class will have a “ballet” section, to work on the basics of dance to slower rhythms. The tap portion of the class will focus on rhythm and sound, always excellent fun in loud shoes on a hardwood floor! Each week we will work as a group on simple stretch and flexibility techniques that will allow the children to start working as a unit on unison and phrasing. 12 total classes Our Dance Recital will be Saturday, May 3 (times TBD) and the dress rehearsal will be Friday, May 2 after school
