About This Activity

Ages 6-8 • Price: $170 • Mondays, 3:30–5:30 PM Monday session runs for five weeks due to President's Day. Instructors: Baker Fanning, Mike Klinglesmith, or Bill Cloyd Let off some steam after school at Newton’s Attic. Geared for younger kids ages 6 through 8, this class is part play and part hands-on tool use and science fun. Kids start the afternoon with 30 minutes of supervised play—Newton’s Attic style. They may go for a ride in our Robotic Rovers, launch model rockets, or operate remote controlled robots. Once a smooth transition from school has been made, students move to the shop to learn the basics of tool use and shop fabrication techniques. Here they will learn how to use simple hand and power tools and put together wooden and metal projects they get to keep. All materials are included in the price of the class, and Newton’s Attic selects the projects the kids fabricate.
