Description
Cadets are Junior Lifeguards ages 15-17 who have been selected as leaders of the Junior Lifeguard program and demonstrate interest in becoming Long beach Lifeguards or pursuing another career in public safety. Cadets will receive higher levels of training in first aid and rescue techniques, shadow Long Beach Lifeguards, and assist JG Instructors. The goal of the Cadet Program is to foster leadership skills while preparing individuals for future careers as Lifeguards and in other forms of public service. Requirements to participate in the Junior Lifeguard Cadet program: (1.) Be at least 15 years old by July 1st, 2025, (2.) Participate in the JG Cadet Tryout, (3.) Be CPR certified, (4.)
