About This Activity

Investigate different kinds of animals from head to toe and from the inside out. Learn how snakes slither and eat without chewing. Study one of nature’s greatest predators and understand the unique features that allow owls to see small objects in the dark and look behind themselves. Examine bones, fur, feathers, claws, teeth, scales, and skeletons to learn more about these and many other animal adaptations. Meet the YSI animal ambassadors and look for wild animals in the park to see how these adaptations help animals to survive in many different environments.
