About This Activity
This 3 day course will strengthen student reading skills and teach organizational strategies to further prepare our incoming freshman for the academic side of being a Valkyrie. Students will read a variety of short pieces of literature, learn helpful reading strategies, and dive deeper into literary topics through discussion and writing. Students will also learn organizational and study strategies that will build confidence for the first few days of school and beyond. This session will follow the 1st Frosh Start session. Students attending the Frosh Start session will bring lunch and together from 12-12:30, and then begin the Literacy and Study Skills Mini-Course at 12:30pm.
