Each teenager (must be age 14-19 and entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the 2016-17 school or have just graduated at the end of the 15-16 year) is given his or her own horse and riding gear for the weekend. We assign horses according to riding backgrounds to ensure that each person has a challenging yet safe riding experience. After an introduction to the requirements of horse care, each teenager will become responsible for grooming and saddling his or her horse. Once horse and rider have become acquainted, we start traveling the many mountain trails near the ranch. The country is rugged wilderness. Our rides cover over 20 square miles of this area and expose our riders to the Rocky Mountains at their primitive best. This camp, and all of our camps at Clydehurst, are focused on the incredibly great news of the salvation God provides through Jesus. Camp begins Saturday, August 13 at 10:00 am and ends Monday, August 15 at 10:00 am. Transportation to/from Clydehurst is not available. Space is limited so sign up soon!
