About This Activity
Description
Build on your experiences from Level I camp! Learn intermediate/advanced sailing techniques, and experiment with the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math components of sailing. In the 8-11 year old class, students will continue to expand their knowledge on sailing Opti's and learn more advanced sailing techniques. They will also experience a long distance sail across Swift Creek Reservoir. In the 12-15 year old class students will be introduced to flying an asymmetrical spinnaker and the basic of racing. This class will still utilize our new fleet of Topaz Uno Plus and RaceX.
Taking Level I before Level II is recommended but not required.
Important: Students must be able to pass a swim test of swimming 50 feet unaided. While on the water, all campers must wear a well fitted Coast Guard approved Type III personal flotation device (PFD).
