August 16th, 9-10am Session A (ages 8-10) or Session B (ages 11-14), $15 These boneless but intelligent creatures have captivated our attention throughout time. From Giant Squids to calamari- they are related to the octupus and the nautilus and have amazing adaptations that have made them incredible predators. They are venomous, change colors, can fit through a hole the size of their beak, and eject an ink cloud that makes them great escape artists. Investigate the extraordinary anatomy of a squid and see other aquatic animals in a hands-on, detailed lab. Yes, we pop out the eyeballs, poke through the ink sac, and scrape off the chromatophores with our fingernails. Note: Not for the squeamish!
