We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Thursday, October 20, 2016.
Make a snack with Minnesota's abundant fall harvest! Special 1-hour version of this program for the school release day will cover some but not all of the following: Experiment with native crops like sunflowers or wild rice. Learn about Peter Gideon (our state's version of Johnny Appleseed) while making an apple snack. Mix up a batch of quick marinated pickles or slaw. And of course, preserve fall's beauty by drying leaves and flowers! [The park's Rec Plus childcare group has scheduled this program, and has opened 5 spots for kids from the public to register and join in the fun. Scholarships are available.]
Participants should be prepared to spend time outside. Please bring a jacket and wear old shoes.
