About This Activity

Description

We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Thursday, February 2, 2017.

Dive into the mysterious world under the ice! Discover the winter survival strategies of reptiles, amphibians, mammals, insects and fish. From burrowing deep into the mud for a long nap to growing an extra layer of fat and fur, there are lots of ways animals survive the Minnesota winter.

Participants should be prepared to spend time outside. Please bring winter boots, coat, hat and mittens. Scholarships are available.

An after-school care group affiliated with the park or a nearby school has scheduled this program, and has opened 5 spots for kids from the public to register and join in the fun.
