About This Activity
The Performing Arts Division (PAD) summer intensives aim to build upon the MDT&S curriculum based in classical ballet technique and incorporating contemporary dance forms. Classes are taught by MDT faculty. Many classes for Level C and above will have live pianist accompaniment. PAD level classes are aimed at dancers who have mastered the fundamentals of ballet technique. Classes will include: Ballet Technique, Contemporary Technique, Conditioning/Strength and Creative Workshops. Current MDT&S students should register for the level in which they were placed for the 2023-2024 school year. New students should contact MDT&S at school@mndance.org to discuss level placement prior to registering for classes. The following is a general guide for level placement. This should be used as a guide only and should not replace a formal placement conversation with MDT faculty. Level E - 7+ years of ballet training and 4+ years of experience in pointe work
