About This Activity

Description

Ballet 4/5- Tuesdays in Montrose with Miss Natasha 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Weehawken Montrose Studio (Uncompahgre Yoga Circle Studio) at 310 S 9th St, Montrose, CO 81401. This ballet class is for students with at least 4-5 years of formalized ballet training.
Dancers in this level will continue to work on technique and new material. Dancers in this level are expected to take ballet at least twice a week if they intend to participate on Pointe. Pointe will be a part of class in this level.
Students choosing not to enroll in a secondary ballet class or having 3 or more absences in this ballet class and/or their secondary ballet class will NOT be able to participate in the "pointe" portion of this class (Unless classes are "made up" in another ballet class). Under no circumstances may students wear pointe shoes or take a WCA pointe class without first being invited by the instructor, and enrolled in the proper classes. Pointe work can be very dangerous to students not properly prepared for pointe work. This class is by invitation only. Dancers interested in taking this class must first be approved by Artistic Director, Natasha Pyeatte.
Weehawken Dance is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® NATIONAL TRAINING CURRICULUM, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Primary through Level 7 will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Natasha Pyeatte, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
Save the date: Polar Express performance December 16th and 17th

Ballet students must wear their uniform, hair in a bun, and proper ballet shoes to class. Uniforms and ballet slippers may be purchased in our Ridgway office or at the first week of dance class. Please see our dancer information page for additional information on uniforms, class content, ect. Bring a water bottle with your dancers name on it!
