Learn the how-to's of babysitting, everything from the proper way to hold a child to what to do in an emergency. Topics include infant and toddler care, play ideas, behavior management, age characteristics, emergency procedures, finding sitting jobs and working with parents. This is an 8-hour class Must attend entire class to earn completion certificate. Bring a sack brown bag lunch and beverage.
Super Sitters is a program designed to train young people in basic babysitting skills, safety and infant/childcare. Those completing the course will be better prepared to provide a safer, more effective and positive babysitting experience. The Super Sitters Course is taught by experienced hospital qualified instructors and includes - Parent Expectations, Basic First Aid, Child Development, Personal Safety, Heimlich Maneuver, Nutrition, Home Security, Fire Prevention, Telephone tips, Toys and Activities, and Infant Care
