It offers a safe and wonderful playground for exploration and learning. More than adequate and accessible indoor space at Odakota lodge is available during inclement weather days or weather emergencies. Two highly qualified early education focused staff will be present at each class along with amazing daily volunteers. The staff is trained in First Aid and CPR as well as Nature Based Early Education Programming. Additionally, through the year, our staff will have continuing education days to continue to bring the best to this program. Daily Schedule: Arrival Stations (exploration hands on stations) Group Activity (Activity or craft) Exploration (Hiking, exploring, discovering) Circle Time (Activity) Snack/Story Community clean up Departure * Bathrooms are available at all locations but make sure that your child has recently used the bathroom prior to the start of class to avoid initial delays to the start of the day. Potty training is required. Units of Study: Winter Explorer Units Week of January 6 to Week of March 3 Session 1 - Hibernation Jan: 6,7,8,13,14,15 Session 2 - Snow and Ice Jan: 20,21,22,27,28, 29 Session 3 - Changes and Signs Feb: 3,4,5,10,11,12 Session 4 - Shadows and Play Feb: 17,18,19,24,25,26 Session 5 - Habitats and Homes Mar: 3,4,5 Tuition will be paid in full two weeks before each unit sessions. Tuition will cover instructors salary (increased pay from early childhood averages), insurances, site rental, and some community pooling costs for supplies. This is a zero profit program so all resources will benefit participants.
